Lifecycle and behaviour: The adult female laid her eggs both on the leaves and flowers of the hostplant. The eggs took 5 days to hatch. The larva molts 3 times. They went through their first stage in the autumn and hibernated as L2. After hibernation they used around 2,5 weeks to pupation. Pupal stage lasted alittle over 1 week. The adult butterflies flies in one generation in the mountains in southern Norway, usually from late june to the beginning of august.
